What to note down about your wedding guests

Your first guest list is the starting point for choosing a venue and setting a budget. Keep invited and confirmed guests apart, and agree on a date by which you need replies. For families and couples, check who's actually coming.

For the dinner, it helps to know about children's portions and dietary needs. Collect only the details you need to organise things, and share them only with those who really need them, such as the caterer. Confirm the final number of portions by the deadline agreed with your caterer.

You don't have to collect replies by hand. Can we invite guests to only some parts of the wedding?

Yes. For each household, choose which parts of the wedding you're inviting them to, for example just the ceremony, or the dinner and evening party too. You then see the replies for each part separately.

How do we track plus-ones, children and dietary needs?

Add everyone coming with each household, including plus-ones and children. Note dietary needs or allergies for each person. Only the people planning the wedding can see them.

How do we give the caterer the numbers and dietary needs?

Download a catering summary from the planner as a CSV file that also opens in Czech Excel. It contains only what the caterer needs.

Can we import our guest list from a spreadsheet?

Not yet – you add guests by household by hand. Replies from the wedding website then fill in the list automatically.

Is the planner really free?

Yes. You can use the guest list, tasks, budget, schedule, seating plan and vendors without paying. Only the wedding website costs money, if you want one.
