Magdalena and Jaroslav's wedding website

Magdalena and Jaroslav wanted photos of the two of them hung on a string of fairy lights at their wedding. From that idea, ahead of their wedding on 17 May 2024, we designed their invitation and the whole website: guests switch on the lights by pulling the string, the invitation unfolds like a letter, and after the wedding the strings fill up with guests' photos.

The idea: On a string

Three moments the website is built on

  1. An invitation in the dark

    A guest opens their invitation and it's dark. They shine a light with their finger, find the string and pull: the fairy lights come on, the couple's song plays, and a letter sealed with wax hangs on the string. One tap breaks the seal and the letter unfolds.

  2. The whole website on one string

    The string runs through the whole website and grows longer as you scroll. The story, schedule, venue and RSVP hang on it like notes on pegs, and a bulb lights up next to each one.

  3. After the wedding, a gallery on strings

    After the wedding, the website changes by itself: the strings hold photos that guests uploaded through the QR code on their table and the newlyweds approved.

Warm light in a dark room

The room is dark, the notes and the letter are paper, and everything you can tap glows gold like the bulbs on the string.

Connected to the planner

Looks different, does the same

A custom website looks different but has the same content as every Svatební plán wedding website. Text, schedule and gifts are edited in the planner like on any wedding website, and guests' replies go straight into the guest list.
